CEO Mom Method (but like… real life version)

Need systems that work, but feel natural and flexible? I got you covered, Mama.

I’m not running a perfect home.

But I am running a home that feels calmer, healthier, and way less chaotic than it used to.

And honestly?

The shift wasn’t doing more… it was putting a few simple systems in place and sticking to them.

1. I stopped winging it and decided what kind of home I actually wanted

At some point I was like…

“Okay wait—what are we even doing here?”

So I got clear on a few things:

  • We speak to each other with respect

  • We clean up our messes

  • We take care of our bodies (food + products matter)

Nothing crazy. Just standards.

And I repeat them a lot 😂

Because kids don’t just magically absorb values—we teach them.

2. I don’t run my day… my rhythms do

I used to wake up and just react all day long.

Now we have a loose flow:

  • Morning: get ready + eat something that actually fuels us

  • Midday: reset the house + regroup

  • Evening: clean up + slow down

It’s not strict.

But it’s predictable—and that alone changed everything.

3. This is the behavior system that saved my sanity

I needed something simple… not complicated… not emotional… just clear.

So this is what we use in our home:

🟢 Level 1 (Green): On track

They’re following directions, being respectful, doing what they need to do.

This is where we want to live most of the day.

🟡 Level 2 (Yellow): Check-in + reset

This is when I notice:

  • Not listening

  • Name-calling

  • Attitude starting to shift

Instead of jumping straight to consequences, I treat this as a pause.

Like:

“Hey, you’re at a Level 2 right now. Let’s check in and reset.”

It gives them a chance to correct it without things escalating.

🔴 Level 3 (Red): Safety + full reset

This is for:

  • Unsafe behavior

  • Hurting others

  • Completely out of control moments

At this point, it’s not a discussion.

It’s a mandatory break/reset.

We step away, calm down, and come back when we’re ready.

What I love about this is:

  • I’m not constantly repeating myself

  • My kids know where they stand

  • It keeps me calm instead of reactive

  • I’m not setting the rules, I’m simply enforcing the ones they already agreed to and we developed together.

4. Clean living became part of how I lead my home (not an “extra thing”)

I used to think this had to be overwhelming…

Now it’s just how we live.

We focus on:

  • Real food (not perfect, just better)

  • Swapping out products when we can

  • Keeping our home environment as clean as possible

And I talk to my kids about it simply:

“Does this help our bodies or hurt them?”

5. Food isn’t random anymore—and that helped behavior more than I expected

I’m not making gourmet meals every day 😂

But I am more intentional:

  • Protein in the morning = better moods

  • Real snacks instead of constant sugar

  • Simple, balanced meals

Also… when my kids help make the food, they’re way more into eating it.

6. I set my house up so it actually works for us

Less clutter

More organization

Things my kids can reach and use - It’s not about perfection—it’s about making life easier.

7. My kids are part of the team, not just along for the ride

I used to do everything myself.

Now:

  • They clean their spaces

  • They help with meals

  • They have responsibilities

Not perfectly. But enough that I don’t feel like I’m doing everything alone.

8. Once a week I just check in on everything

Nothing fancy.

I think about:

  • What felt chaotic?

  • What actually worked?

  • What needs to shift a little?

The biggest shift for me…

I stopped trying to be a “better mom” and started leading my home differently.

More structure

More intention

Less chaos

And somehow… everything feels lighter.

At the end of the day… I’m still learning too.

I don’t have this all figured out, and our days aren’t perfect.

But I’m just sharing what’s been working for us—the little systems that have made our home feel calmer, healthier, and more intentional.

If something in here resonated with you, take it and make it your own.

You don’t have to do everything… just start somewhere.

That’s how it all begins 🤍
